Edtech UK
Edtech UK is a new strategic body set up to help accelerate the growth of the UK’s education technology sector in Britain and globally. Incubated by The Education Foundation, the new body is a “front door” for industry, investment and government and a convening voice for all of the education and learning technology sector including educators, startups, scale up and high growth companies, large corporations, investors.
The focus of Edtech UK is to help support, showcase and develop the sector, with a focus on creating more jobs, developing new skills, understanding what works and driving economic growth. Its focus will be global from the outset with an ambitious programme of work to take the Best of British edtech companies to the world and be a launchpad for the world’s best education and learning organisations to base themselves and grow in the UK.
Edtech UK builds on the success of the range of successful digital programmes run by The Education Foundation including setting up and running the Edtech Incubator – the UK and Europe’s first edtech accelerator programme, Digital Colleges, the Facebook for Educators programme and much more. It is also inspired by organisations such as Innovate Finance in the financial technology (fintech) sector and MedCityin the medical technology (medtech) sector who help drive forward these areas of tech policy and ecosystem development
Costs range from £2,500 per annum.
